Bright Blue Scoops Business Award PDF Print E-mail
Bright Blue Training & Advisory scooped the award for Best Home-Based Business at the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2011. Louise Doyle, Director said 'We are delighted that our hard work has been recognised and our intention is to continue to operate from a home base to ensure we can keep our overheads low, passing the benefit of this on to our clients'.

Self assessment software launch PDF Print E-mail
Mesma has confirmed the launch of its much anticipated self assessment and improvement planning software for the further education market will take place in October 2011. Carole Loader, Director said "We are delighted to be in a position to announce the launch to coincide with the point in the year when providers look to compile their annual SAR. We know our product can make a significant contribution to assisting ITPs and colleges manage the process efficiently and have an improvement plan that can direct activity in the coming year." Concerns over replacement for EMA PDF Print E-mail
Some colleges are only offering burseries to the poorest students of £200 a survey by the University & College Union has reported. Whilst the majority of the 51 largest colleges surveyed had as yet to publish their plans, the 14 who did respond returned an average of bursery of around half of the EMA £633. BIS withdraws TQS funding PDF Print E-mail
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has announced the withdrawal of funding for the Training Quality Standard. The SFA is currently working with the accreditation bodies to wind down TQS.
